Run Wild Races

Run Wild Races is a bi-annual event held at the Metro Richmond Zoo, focused on promoting animal conservation through fun running and obstacle courses. Participants can choose from three events: a 1-mile mini race, a 5K, and a Wild Ninja obstacle course inspired by American Ninja Warrior. The races wind through the zoo, offering views of various animals like rhinos and cheetahs. All proceeds support endangered species conservation, particularly benefiting the pygmy hippo.
